Advice for Road Runners: The Nike Men's Pegasus 41 Road Running Shoes are the first in the Nike Pegasus line to feature Nike's ReactX midsole foam.
ReactX foam is engineered to reduce its carbon footprint by at least 43% in a pair of midsoles due to reduced manufacturing process energy compared to prior React foam. The carbon footprint of ReactX is based on cradle-to-gate assessment reviewed by PRé Sustainability B.V and Intertek China. Other midsole components such as airbags, plates or other foam formulations were not considered.
The Pegasus 41 is designed to be durable, dependable and comfortable. The benefit of this style being on its 41st edition is that there will have been many learnings from what worked - and what didn't work so well - in the 40 editions that preceded these shoes. There is a very high chance that this is the best Pegasus yet.
Underfoot Feel
As mentioned, the Pegasus 41 uses ReactX foam in the midsole. You may be interested to know that the Pegasus 40 used React foam. ReactX is 13% more responsive than previous React technology. This responsiveness should be considered in context of the fact that the Pegasus 41 still features a Zoom Air unit in both the heel and the forefoot.
You should expected the Pegasus 41 to feel cushioned, protective and responsive.
Nike's signature waffle-inspired rubber outsole provides durable traction on the road.
Upper Fit
Another notable update to the Pegasus 41 is the upgraded engineered mesh upper - which results in increased breathability.
A new Dynamic Midfoot Fit system helps with support, durability and comfort. The laces are tied to an internal midfoot band that wraps around the foot.
Comfort is enhanced through the extra padding on the collar, tongue and sockliner.
It is worth noting that the Peg 41 is built on the same last as the Peg 40. If you liked the fit of the Peg 40, you should like the fit of the Peg 41.
Ideal Run Type
The Nike Men's Pegasus 41 Road Running Shoes are neutral running shoes. They are best suited to daily training runs at steady to moderate paces, but - thanks to their responsiveness - should feel comfortable at quicker speeds too.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
