Advice for Road Runners: The Nike Men's Infinity RN 4 Road Running Shoes are for runners seeking cushioning and additional support.
The midsole is made from Nike's ReactX foam. A pair of midsoles with ReactX has a carbon footprint which is 43% less in comparison to React foam*.
*The carbon footprint of ReactX is based on cradle-to-gate assessment reviewed by PRé Sustainability B.V and Intertek China. Other midsole components such as airbags, plates and other foam formulations were not considered.
Underfoot Feel
As mentioned, the midsole is made from Nike's ReactX foam. If you ran in previous versions of this style - which used React foam - you may be interested to know that ReactX foam provides 13% more energy return compared to React foam.
The curvature of the outsole and midsole at both the heel and the forefoot help to create a rocker-like effect. This helps you to move through the gait cycle with greater ease and efficiency.
The main point is that the Infinity RN 4 provides a smooth and cushioned underfoot feel. The high level of stability largely stems from tuned support and intentionally placed cushioning.
Upper Fit
The Flynit upper fits in a similar way to how a sock fits. I.e. the upper sits close to your foot. An internal Flyknit fit band (like an elasticated band and around the middle of your foot) offers stretchy, but secure support for your midfoot.
A wider toe box provides plenty of room for your toes to splay at the push off stage of the gait cycle.
The Infinity RN 4 has a water-repellent liner in the front of the toe box. This helps to keep your toes drier in wet weather.
Nike acknowledged that these have a snug fit. We recommend ordering a half-size up from your normal Nike running shoes.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
